Social Events

Social events hosted by Expats Mind Care Club aim at expanding our social network as immigrants in Denmark - this can be done both with other internationals and local Danes.

The goal of us getting together is to get to know one another and forge some (hopefully) long lasting friendships that we can lack once moving away from our home countries.

Some of the social initiatives run in the past have been e.g. a weekly Language Café in collaboration with INSP! Roskilde, where local internationals and Danish participants came together to practice Danish, share experiences, and get to know each other. Another, recurring initiative called Speed Friending events, was designed to help people expand their networks and meet new friends. Conversations often went beyond small talk, touching on challenges, what participants appreciate about life in Denmark, and what they miss from home. The goal was to create an environment where participants could feel seen and have honest conversations.
